As English is not my native language, it has not been easy for me to make this compilation where lyrics are so important. Music is music, so to me the words of the songs have always played a secondary role, but …
In the 50’s Rock And Roll became a new life-style for teenagers all over the world, and soon their enemies tried -in vain- to criminalise, ridicule and knock it down, that’s why rock’n’rollers had to defend, explain and praise their new music and their “rocking” way to have fun, be rebellious, and promote their own slang and cool style. All that was immortalized on a lot of song lyrics of the era. Here are some of those recordings (along with small parts of their lyrics). Several of these songs have become authentic rock and roll anthems.
AFTER you have listened to the songs on this compilation, and to their lyrics, it will be welcome and appreciated if those interested in this matter and that can “easily” understand the words of the songs, might provide some help and proper suggestions/songs for a possible further volume or just a listing. And if anybody knows of similar records or cd’s, please let me know. Thanks so much.
By the way … the “legendary” motto “Rock And Roll Is Here To Stay” is heard/sung on 5 of these songs (tracks # 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18). It has also been included on some modern recordings. Does anybody remember any other 50s/60s song with it, please?

If you are into 1950's ROCK AND ROLL music and style this is a must ;)
I've been loving this music since the late 70's, will always love it and I'm very proud of this compilation.
